General Requirements:

Duties related to the Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) of Track Management software for Army systems.  Track management includes the correlation of data from multiple sensors to provide the current air picture to the weapon system.  Candidate will review software requirements documentation and software and requirements change documentation for correctness, completeness, software safety compliance, testability, and other attributes.  Analyst will evaluate software design and algorithms for compliance with predicted desired performance.  Tasks include participation in development tests, software design reviews, code reviews, test plan reviews, test report reviews, problem report reviews and major program meetings, as requested.  Analyst will independently review Formal Qualification Test (FQT) data, independently test software, and produce independent test reports



  • ABET accredited BA/BS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics; or related technical field

  • Some travel



  • Knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense Systems 

  • Scripting experience using Perl, Python, MATLAB, etc.

  • Experience with data reduction and analysis tools

  • Junior level – recent graduate up to 5 years’ experience

  • Experience with IV&V, software safety, testing, simulation, hardware testing and/or development of software

  • Familiarity with modern software languages; C++, Ada


Security Requirements:

Applicants must currently hold a DoD security clearance at the secret level. 


Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an office or lab environment with adequate environmental (heating/cooling) control.  The noise level in the work environment will be moderate due to noises associated with computer equipment, equipment racks, and environmental control systems.  For some efforts, tactical equipment will be operated outdoors in field conditions to include weather extremes and on tactical generator power. Offsite work is performed primarily at Government locations in climate-controlled facilities but will occasionally require installation, inspection and setup of equipment outdoors.
